I tend to read a mix of classics, sci-fi, psychological and philosophical fiction, but my taste can vary quite a bit. I'll read any genre besides romance, and try to avoid books marketed as "young adult" (YA). Not to seem like a snob, but I find books within that demographic to be sloppish and of an objectively lesser quality than other books. It's a shame, because younger audiences do deserve good books, which isn't being provided, but that's a rant for another time.
