Classroom Of The Elite

Status: Dropped
Date: 021/02/2025
Rating: 4/10
Classroom Of The Elite attempts to look like a clever mind-game anime but if you peel one layer back, it's actually fan-service with a non-existent plot. I'm sorry, but are the creators aware that inserting quotes by people much more intelligent than them at the start of an episode doesn't make their show more smart?
After the third episode, all plot points seem to dissolve and the show becomes pointless. For some reason, the student council runs this school and when one student is going to be expelled, the highest ranking member of the student council decided if he would be expelled in a classroom trial. How do the sixteen year old students have more power than the teachers? Anyway, the sexualisation of the characters is also appalling. The amount of fanservice is tremendous, which is disgusting considering the fact that the characters are children. I'm no prude: I can handle fanservice in doses, but this is too much. These sixteen year olds look like they've used their school points to get boob-jobs.
Don't bother with this trash if you aren't a paedophile or someone who enjoys thin plots.
The World Ends With You: The Animation

Status: Dropped
Date: 09/02/2025
Rating: 3/10
I love the original game and unfortunately TWEWY: The Animation fails as a good adaptation. My only compliment is that it's animation does a decent job of recreating TWEWY's highly stylised artstyle. My problems? Well, Neku doesn't work as a character in the anime.
In the game, you hear his thoughts so you understand that at the start he's a complete dick, but you don't hear his thoughts in the anime so you don't get this. The game also opens up with a monologue from Neku -- something also cut from the anime, removing a lot of his distinct and initially unlikeable personality.
Please just play the game rather than watch this.
DanDaDan

Status: Finished
Date: 04/02/2025
Rating: 7/10
DanDaDan is funny, has amazing, unique animation and two protagonists which have a great dynamic. It's weird (in a good way) and balances light-hearted fun with some serious, heavy moments. If you're looking for a good comedy, you should definitely give DanDaDan a watch.
Wonder Egg Priority

Status: Dropped
Date: 30/01/2025
Rating: 3/10
Dropped after two episodes. It's confusing and the story is heavily fragmented and disjointed, jumping around from one scene to another, with each scene taking place in different times and sometimes in dreams, sometimes in reality. I can enjoy this sort of style of storytelling when done well, but it's just irritating in Wonder Egg Priority.
